Since 2006, Vashan has been rated Maryland’s premier compounding pharmacy. Mehri Bashiri, Pharm. D. and Behzad Samari, Pharm. D., independently own and operate Vashan to ensure each customer’s needs are met. All of Vashan’s compounding is done in our state of the art compounding laboratory located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. To ensure the top quality of our products, Vashan is regulated by Maryland’s State Board of Pharmacy and is in full compliance with all USP <795> guidelines. All of our chemicals used for compounding are purchased through an FDA monitored and inspected facility, ensuring the quality of all medications for all our customers and pets. We guarantee the quality of our products by customizing and tailoring each medication to the customers needs by providing counseling on all prescriptions.

About the Founders:

Owners, Mehri Bashiri, Pharm. D. and Behzad Samari, Pharm D., graduated from Howard University School of Pharmacy with professional doctorate degree in pharmaceutical medicine. Both pharmacists have worked in retail pharmaceuticals, as well as in the hospital setting as clinical pharmacists. From their many years of experience, they have received extensive training in specialty compounding, enabling them to provide the highest quality of preparations to meet each patient’s specific needs. Both owners are active members of: the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP); an organization, which protects, promotes, and advances the art and skill of the compounding pharmacy profession; the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA); which provides compounding pharmacies with pharmaceutical chemicals, equipment, devices, advanced training an education, and technical support; and the American Pharmacists Association (APHA); an organization which offers training programs and educational seminars for improving medication use and advancing patient care.
